SWEB is Wal-Mart's Download Music store. Through this project, I proposed, designed and led the introduction of an AJAX-based cart experience. This was the first use of AJAX in Walmart's history, and the first time a cart experience existed in Walmart's Download business. Results: Increased average order size by 25-40%. Muze into CD Store | |
Muze is a third party provider of music information. While Wal-Mart has integrated this information into its Music Download store, it was never integrated into CD store. Through user testing, we determined that the lack of Muze information was a critical miss for Walmart's offering. I proposed the redesign of the item page, the creation of a new Artists page, and a Recommendation page. As part of this project, I introduced a prototype-centric approach to better understand the impact of the new design. Results: Increased conversion by 10-15%. Process Improvement Workshop: Challenge Mapping | |
Understanding the relationships between challenges is the first step towards solving them. Using a similar process to the Checkfree work at Scient, I facilitated a workshop with key constituencies of the UX team. This map displays how the different challenges of each group imact the other groups. From this understanding, we were able to develop a revised implementation process for Walmart.com. 1 Slide |
